We'll start things off with a D lick.
In bluegrass banjo the key of G is used ALOT and progressions often resolve with a move from the D chord (V) back to the G (I). I find the final D in a progression ideal for tossing in tasty licks that create a little tension (to be resolved when we hit the G).
